Megan & Keegan Stourhead Wedding

Updated: Feb 14

September 2019 I had the most magical day with Megan and Keegan for their Stourhead wedding. It was a perfect warm autumnal day. We started off with bridal prep in the most gorgeous air bnb just across from the church. From the beautiful roses climbing the old stone work to the old stone work floors it was simply picture perfect. Bridal prep was quaint and timeless. A love note from Keegan to Megan giving me all the feels! Megans classic Heels and her beautiful hand made bouquet. It all went so well together.

It was literally a case of crossing the road to get to the church which just made things feel so relaxed. Megan must have felt slightly under pressure as the church bells rang and the passer Byers of the national trust park stopped to admire the bride.

I loved that Megan chose to have her veil over her face. It added such a vintage vibe to the day. I was just loving all the traditional touches of the day!

The ceremony was run by the most loving vicar, she made the congregation feel so involved in the ceremony. She was passionate about her role and the stories she told were just so endearing. The ceremony ended with a beautiful ritual of lighting two candles into one. It was a lovely representation of two lives coming together in unity.

We spent the afternoon in a beautiful cosy village hall for the wedding reception. Megan and Keegan had filled the room with such personal touches. The speeches follow shortly including some beautiful words from Megans father. Unfortunately for Keegan it was soon time for the best mans turn. Whilst the guests and myself were laughing with shock I think poor Keegan would have liked the ground the swallow him up!

We were spoilt with choice when the South African Barbecue was ready to eat. The smell coming from the barbecue was divine! I won't forget that meal in a hurry!

After our meal it was soon time to sneak off into the grounds of Stourhead for a stroll. I can't lie this was defiantly something I'd been excited for a very long time! Megan and Keegan wanted to keep it short and sweet so they could get back to their guests.

This didn't stop us from getting a whole host of beautiful images for them to choose from. The grounds at Stourhead are just incredible and well worth a visit if you are ever in the Wiltshire area. The history just feels alive with its stunning collection of ancient temples.

What a day. These images will always be special to me and the memories they hold. Thank you so much Megan & Keegan for having me be a small part of your intimate day.
