Emma & Scott Summer Gorse Hill Wedding

Updated: Apr 23

Emma and Scott had met me at a Gorse Hill open morning back in 2018.They were both buzzing with excitement for their upcoming wedding plans. I was honoured that they chose me to be the photographer to capture their day. We met before the wedding for a drink at a gorgeous pub local to their home. We went over all the upcoming plans and I was so excited to hear they wanted to add a highlight film to there package.

We lucked out massively with the British weather and were set for a scorching hot summers day. Gorse Hill is a perfect summer venue as the patio backs onto the most gorgeous garden and the perfect panoramic view of the stately home. Bridal prep started and Emma was simply beaming. I loved her excitement for every little detail asking me to capture them all. Being really into her sports and not too girly, I really couldn't be sure what to expect from her dress. My gosh did she look stunning! So simple and timeless but a little bit of sparkle outlining the beautiful backless masterpiece. The floor length veil was the perfect finishing touch.

.

It was soon time for us to scoot over and check on how Scott was doing with him groomsmen. I always find grooms prep so funny. It can either go two ways, most of the time they are like a bunch of headless chickens flapping around. Or they are all so chilled out and relaxed as if there isn't a wedding about to happen.

Scott seemed organised but a little bit lost at the same time. I don't think the sweltering heat was helping! Luckily his guys kept him in good check.

The ceremony was perfect, full of emotion and lots of laughter. A beautiful and very talented Harpist played the most beautiful music. As soon as the ceremony finished you could see them both relax and really start to enjoy themselves.

Have you ever seen such a happy bride? It was time to sneak of for our Bride and Groom photos. Emma & Scott were both full of laughter and happy to abide to all my ridiculous prompts.

The day literally flew by, the gorse hill staff made sure the drinks were flowing and everybody was having a good time. Before we new it the evening was upon us and the most incredible band arrived to get the party started. I can honestly say hand on heart they were the most epic wedding band I've ever had the privilege to watch!

The photos say It all really!
